INFO

A good photographer creates the rapport, energy and atmosphere to let you be you.

'IN STUDIO' RATE:
My standard rate is $60/hr. for both shooting and editing.
'MOBILE' RATE:
My standard 'mobile' rate is $75/hr.
Distance and lighting challenges affect rate,
so please call with more details so I can give you an accurate quote.
SPECIALS:
I do sometimes offer specials.
Currently, when you book 3 hours, you get the 4th free.
If you wish to model all 3 categories (headshots, creative and boudoir), I can discount more;
call for details and send a face and full-body picture.

POST-PRODUCTION TIME:
For a each 1 hour shoot, it takes about 45 minutes to do post-production work:
to upload the (large) images to my computer, sift thru them & burn to a DVD disc.
This does not include special 'tweaking' of photographs.
This I do at my standard rate of $60/hr.
Simple tweaks can take 5 minutes; complex ones, 20.

SHORTER SHOOTS:
I can also include the post-production work in the shooting time,
in which case a 1 hr shoot becomes about 40 minutes, with 20 min. post-production work.
Let me know which way you want to shoot before we start.

NUMBER OF 'LOOKS / CONCEPTS / SCENES' PER HOUR:
In general, I plan for 1 'look / concept / change of clothes / scenery' per hour.
If you are totally prepared (and we hit no snags),
we should be able to do two - but that's if you're prepared! : )
HEADSHOTS:
If you arrive with your hair and make-up done and in the clothes you want to shoot,
we can take great headshots in as little as 30 minutes.
I would prefer to allot an hour, though.

NUMBER OF SHOTS PER HOUR:
I average between 125-150 shots per hour;
less if I have to deal with numerous props and logistics.
Out of these a good percentage will be great shots.
I like to shoot each 'scene' a number of times before moving on,
because subtle changes in facial expression, body movement & exposure
can turn a good shot into a great one.
(And the great ones are all I'm interested in)!

OWNERSHIP
All shots are my property, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
USAGE:
A client may use all shots approved by me for either
non-commercial or commercial use (depending on the contract).
No images leave my office until our agreement is in writing, with picture numbers referenced.
SHOTS THAT MEET CLIENT'S APPROVAL:
I often want to use photos I take for promotional purposes,
but there are times when a client may not want me to use certain photos,
(for instance, when I shoot 'boudoir').
In this case, I work out an agreement with my clients as to the images
they feel comfortable using, (because I want us to both be happy)!
I may also shoot a series of 'anonymous' photos on my own time for these puposes.

CREDIT:
All shots must credit 'www.greatphotos.me' as the photographer,
(or 'Dave Bass' if specified).
I also have a small photo tag I can put on the photos, for your convenience.

DISCRETION w/REGARD TO BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY:
All client contact regarding boudoir photography is confidential.
I respect people's privacy and the right to their own sexuality,
(unless it involves kids, animals or aliens)!
: )

BARTERS:
I do offer barters, although I am fairly picky about why and to whom.
If you are willing to shoot something that fills out my portfolio,
I can give you the kinds of shots you need in return.
I am always interested in unique looks, personalities, and concepts for shoots -
contact me and let me know what you have in mind!

SEEKING LONG-TERM MUSE / MODEL:
I am seeking a fit, attractive, creative, open-minded female
interested in modeling headshots, high fashion, boudoir - anything creative!
I want to explore the styles of Mario Testino, Demarchalier,
the 30's B&W nudes of Berko and Tenneson, abstracts and much, much more.
I want to explore strong 'thematic' shoots in unusual settings.
I am also interested in potentially selling such images -
and giving my 'muse/model' a sizeable split.
Contact me if interested.
