Creative or 'character' portraits differ from traditional headshots because
they allow for a greater range of emotional expression, croppings, props,
etc. It's the stuff I love shooting the most! In a creative portrait, you
are essentially an actor and I am a director. I talk to
my subjects a lot as I shoot, and if they come in relaxed and flexible,
great shots will happen. I love shooting musicians, actors, models and every-day
folks with character! Before a shoot, I sit down with my clients and sift thru images and ideas. I like to know their goals & expectations, because it's all part of the process. I have many resources for your shoot; a large gallery of image ideas, special backgrounds and props, two costume shops within walking distance, a Sally's Beauty Supply around the corner, a top-notch hair & make-up school down the block (as well as references to world-class hair & make-up stylists), and quality printing houses right here in Hollywood. |
